Cause of casualty.

At 19 hours 26 minutes on the 25th of July after leaving Nam Kwan Harbour where we were ordered out by the Chinese Military authorities and about one mile outside the entrance, the ship struck a mine which exploded on the port side at No.1 hold causing considerable damage to hull & frames. No cargo damaged. All hatch covers, tarpaulin and battens were completely destroyed.
